We have been high-fiving each other over the computer for months. It is high time we met; you should come to our (scorching) province, I will show you sunsets and curries and mountains.

I’ve looked up to Adam ever since I first met him. He does a great giraffe impression.

For one thing, you write beautifully (both your poetry and your entries in general), especially when you’re writing about Islam – I can tell you’re truly passionate about your faith. For another thing, I feel like I could learn a lot from you – from your faith, your experiences as an American Muslim, living in the Middle East, your self-identification as both a faithful Muslim and a feminist (cool!); I could go on. Plus I think it would be really cool to get henna done and I have a feeling that you would know some really good places to go.

Collin used to be in DC, then he disappeared, and now he’s suddenly reappeared on 43Things. Stranger things have happened, I suppose.

i first came across stacey in the “take back america” thread, where she and others (daisy, ake, etc.) were having a discussion with an ardent bush supporter. i was blown away by the intelligence, perspective, and genuine civility in the things she wrote.

constantly seeing debates on heated subjects denigrate into stupidity, lies & vitriolic name calling, it was so refreshing to see this one as a real discussion of genuine opinions. and her opinions were always dead-on accurate.

yes, i fell in internet love with stacey during that thread, and then subsequently reading her other goals and entries. she has a brilliant mind and a caring, compassionate nature. what’s not to love?

there should be more people like her in the world.

Where do I start ?? I guess the first time I read her words I thought “hey this young lady is smart”. Her writing was a mixture of intrigue, common sense, humour, thought provoking, and kick butt.

So then I checked out her goals and what a fabulous list she has. Again such a mixture but underneath it all there is a hugely caring person. She cares about people, the planet and a whole of other things.

Finally I checked out her picture and she also got one big happy smile.

Can anyone think of any better reasons why you would want to meet someone ?

When I grow up, I hope I can cook half as well as she can. I <3 afincher.

She just joined our club, so I want to get to know her as a MSBC of course. This is also good way of communicating and discussing private matters of the club.

Rob’s going to raise my GPA by kicking my virtual ass whenever he sees me spending too much time on 43T. I feel like if we’re going to have a relationship of mutual ass-kicking, we should meet sometime.

Plus, any guy who has a goal like “meet a nice girl and show her that not all men are jerks” is just awesome by default. More guys should be like Rob.
